Communities grow stronger when residents regularly do a variety of simple things that provide the chance to connect with others, build trust and get involved in doing things together. The connections built when helping others with everyday tasks makes bigger projects possible and builds individual and community spirit and resilience.

The After School Program (ASP) serves students in Florence, Alabama; specifically Carver Homes, Cypress Homes, and Handy Homes communities. Our goal is to enrich their lives to empower them to conquer the unique challenges of their community and pioneer a victorious culture. We focus on three areas to develop growth: academics, social skills, and spiritual studies.

The ASP runs from 3 PM - 5 PM Monday through Wednesday.

donation needs:

  • Printer Paper

  • Small bottled water (8 oz.)

  • Juice boxes and/ or pouches

  • Individually wrapped snacks or snack-sized bags of chips

  • Paper plates/ cups

  • Plastic utensils
